LaRissa was a good friend from high school that I lost touch with after she moved away our junior year. One of the perks of Facebook is having the chance to reconnect with old friends. I knew we both had baby boys the same year. So, I was so happy to meet up with her and her son Mekhi for their family session. We were able to swap stories about life with four year old boys. They are both kind, joyful people, which is very apparent in these photos.
I am so happy to share my session with the Lawrence family. Amy and I taught at the same school for two years. She was the first person I met when I started and she was so warm and welcoming, I have never forgotten that. Her family was the exact same way. They were all so kind. As a family they have been through a lot, and just spending an hour with them it’s very apparent how tight knit and supportive they are of one another.

In November I got to meet sweet Baby Allison. I got to hear a little bit of her birth story and she made quite an entrance in this world. Jyssica and Brad were glad to finally be home with their little girl.
This was my third newborn session when the cats prefered I photograph them rather than the baby. So you will get to see a few of their cat Pumpkin. We actually got our own family cat not long after these sessions. My boys are grateful.

The day I had scheduled for my fall mini-sessions turned into a very wet, rainy day. We managed to do three sessions, but as the day went on the rain came down much harder. Thankfully we found a beautiful Sunday later on in the month to finish out this years fall mini-sessions. Meet the Stewart family and the Hurley family. I had so much fun chasing around busy boys that day. Something I am very accustomed too living with two busy boys of my own.

I’m so excited to finally share this session of Baby Mara. This was a last minute session and Baby Mara was already 3 weeks old, so I wasn’t sure if we would get any sleeping photos. Just like her cousin Baby Jackson, who I photographed in September, she was wide eyed and curious about everything. But that didn’t matter, I got to capture those beautiful eyes of hers. I may over share a bit, but Mara had so many facial expressions I can’t resist. I also had to capture Miranda and Nathan’s cat Chutney who had quite a personality of his own. He followed us around and made sure it was known that he too needed to be photographed.
