I have known the Lamberts since they were a family of two. They have supported me on my photography journey and trusted me to take their family photos the last few years. The unfortunate part of all of that is RAIN. Every time they sign up for a mini-session it rains. But they always stick it out. I told them this year that if it rained they would get their own mini-session on a different day. On my drive to our session it rained. I may have had a few choice words for the rain during my drive. But when we arrived it cleared up and the sun even came out at the end. This was such a beautiful sessions to capture and one of my favorites. Which I hope to write more about in another blog post soon.

I’ve heard Casey and Dan’s name many times, but never knew them. I worked with Casey’s mom and I remember hearing about all the wedding prep. Lori, Casey’s mom was so excited. So proud. And now she is thrilled about this grandbaby on the way. She contacted me about gifting them with the whole photography deal of maternity, fresh 48 and newborn sessions. I’m glad I can capture Casey and Dan’s new joy. I can’t wait to meet their little one later this fall!

Beautiful! Thank you Emily! Love Lori
It was my pleasure! Excited to meet baby girl!
Spending time with the Loewen Family reminded me of my family, about 3 years ago. Levi and Avery are 18 months apart, just like our first two. Those first few years are tricky. They are both babies, just at different stages. It’s a tough time, but from the outside it’s also so sweet. They are little like this for such a short time. I think they will be grateful to have this stage captured.

When I shoot a maternity session for a couple before their newborn session, it always feels more special. I get to know the couple as they were before parents. They are so focused on one another, and so in love. Then I get to see that love spread to another little human being. I loved working with Jamie and Jordan. They were so really and honest, in front of the camera and in our conversation. Baby Joel is one lucky guy.
