My friend/former co-worker Lindsay was brave enough to let me do my first family documentary session with her family. I spent 3 hours with her family on a Saturday morning back in February. I first met her when she was engaged to Dan. And then later pregnant with her first Ava, it’s fun to see how her family has changed. Since we both eventually quit teaching we only got to watch each other’s families grow via social media. So getting to spend a morning with her family was a delight. With three girls, they are a busy family. But getting to be a fly on the wall, it’s fun to watch the rhythm of their family. The dynamics and personality of each child. The way their mom and dad love on them. The love languages. The joys. The frustrations. The in and outs of the Murphy family. So beautiful. It was a privelege to witness. Spending time with family’s of littles is real evidence that this time of life is, yes hard, but also so beautiful, brief, wonderful. I hope these photos can be a treasure they can return to when their girls are older and these years of raising littles seems so far away. Thank you Murphys!
