Ever since I attended the Made to Create Photography workshop a week and a half ago, my mind has been swirling. I learned so much about, not just photography, but also myself. I learned about what is really important to me, I learned about what I really like to shoot, and I learned that I am different (which I already knew). But I learned to be confident and comfortable in all of those things, which is not normal for me.

There were so many talented photographers there, the old me would start comparing myself to all of them. Which initally I did. But the more settled into the weekend the more I realized I like the way I shoot, think, and see the world. And I’m excited to share that to the world. Birth, babies and families, but more on that another day.

We did a newborn session with two of the sweetest babies, with Kristal Joy Photography. I just wanted to eat them up. My favorite moments were watching the moms nestle in with their little ones.

The wedding session with Gabriel Van Wyhe Photography was very enlightening. I learned a lot about weddings and my voice as a photographer. This couple were such troopers. It was cold and pouring down rain and they were so patient as they waited for 14 photographers to photograph them in different poses/ locations. 












I just want to say thank you to Devon, Chelle and Candice, our leaders, of Made to Create PNW. They have built a wonderful community of people who are willing to share and support their craft with others. I’ll see you next year!
